2017 Sunshine State Open Pinball Tournament

FREE PLAY FLORIDA IS PROUD TO PRESENT THE 2017 SUNSHINE SHOWDOWN PINBALL TOURNAMENTS!

We listened to your ideas and recommendations and you’re going to love this year’s IFPA sanctioned pinball tournaments at Free Play Florida! First, we would like to proudly introduce a 2017 FPF Pinball Women’s Division to be added this year with the returning Main and Classics Pinball Tournaments. We will get more into the details in a moment, since we are excited to announce our wonderful Free Play Florida Pinball Tournament Team.

Heading up the Tournament Director position is Daniel Spolar. Who will be returning for his second year to help coordinate the Free Play Florida Pinball Tournaments. Daniel has been involved in the Florida pinball scene for over a decade, as senior director of Project Pinball Charity, and helped founded the Pinball Asylum in sunny Ft Myers, Florida, as well as producing top-notch pinball tournaments across the state.

Daniel has been joined by a top-notch team to help push these FPF tournaments to new heights.

We are excited to have Kurt Van Zyl and El Klamp step in to sponsor and help run the tournaments and the Free Play Florida Pinball Players’ Lounge.  Which is very fitting since they own and operate several Pinball Lounge locations in the Orlando area, the original location at Oviedo Bowling Center and the new location at The Winey Wench- Seminole Towne Center.  While providing new games to the tournament game offering, they bring with him a wealth of knowledge in the area of pinball setup and repair as well as years of tournament and collecting experience.

We are glad and proud to announce that Dr. Cecelia Beagle has joined the team to take on the challenges to have the 1st Women Division Pinball Tournament at Free Play Florida. While she has been very busy with her personal endeavors, she has been very focused on planning a stellar tournament that welcomes women players of all ages to try their hand on dedicated women division only games. Cecelia plays in competitive pinball tournaments every chance she gets and brings that passion to this new tournament offering.

We are thrilled and delighted to have them on board to add their assistance to this year’s pinball tournaments, so please spend a moment to post them a message of congratulations and a warm welcome to the show!

Lastly, a great tournament needs great support and great volunteers! Please let us know if you are interested in lending a hand!
