Free Play Florida
November 9-11, 2018
UPDATE: We are no longer accepting submissions for the 2018 show so we can finalize the volunteer schedule.
Did you know that Free Play Florida is a nonprofit organization run by volunteers? That’s right! Everyone you see, from the person who sells the tickets, or the people that keep the arcade machines up and running, or the team who runs the pinball tournaments, as well as every other job that keeps the show going.
That’s where we need you! We’re always looking to add to the volunteer team. People like you help in many areas of the show like front desk, door monitor, assisting special guests, or even helping out at the tournaments.
Please take a moment to read the Guidelines and Expectations for our AWESOME Volunteers.
Sign up for a shift and receive:
1 Free Play Volunteer Staff shirt and 1 Weekend Pass to the show, where you can play your heart’s desire out on AMAZING arcade games, check out COOL seminars and MORE!
What You Can Expect as a Volunteer:
As a volunteer you can expect to be a valuable part of the Free Play Florida production team. You can expect to be treated with courtesy and respect. We want this to be a positive experience for everyone involved; you should expect to work hard and have fun. While there is a great deal of work for us to do, there is also time to make new friends and enjoy the show. Shift lengths run five to eight hours. Flexibility and a sense of humor are great assets!
What We Expect from Our Volunteers:
As a volunteer, you are expected to arrive for your shift on time, dressed appropriately (jeans or shorts and sneakers along with your staff shirt are the most comfortable), ready for work, and with a good attitude. We expect volunteers to treat each other, Free Play Florida patrons, and staff in the same manner that they would want to be treated: with a smile and courteous attitude at all times. Volunteers should plan on pitching in when needed, working hard, and enjoying what the show has to offer.
Prior to the show all volunteers must attend an orientation meeting. This is our opportunity to share with you the show layout and job details, as well as meet the show coordinators and other volunteers. Dates and times to be announced.
Applicants must be 18 years or older with a valid ID.
Once you have filled out the application, please take a moment to update your contacts with our social media info. Please keep an eye out for our emails. Our only means of getting you important information for the show is through email.
Thanks for Free Playing with us! See you there!!
